First Day Back

Ian and I had our first ringing session at the 'obs' for 2011 and as predicted yesterday on here it was quiet. We ringed 4 Greenfinch and a Reed Bunting, and recaptured a Blackbird.

There was a little 'vis mig' this morning in the form of 6 Pied Wagtails, 15 Siskins, 3 Grey Wagtails, 6 Greenfinch and a lone Meadow Pipit. And that was it, nothing grounded at all. It's looking okay again for tomorrow, in fact it will be clearer in the morning, so we'll probably give it a go again.

By the way there was nothing in my moth trap!
